Despite their tense situation, King Charles sends a loving message to little Lilibet in California – an offering of peace?
She is the youngest member of the royal family and has every reason to celebrate: Princess Lilibet (3) was born on June 4, 2021. While the little redhead has a lot to smile about in Hollywood, the real bombshell comes from afar – directly from the heart of London.
Her grandfather, King Charles III (75), made a special statement despite family tensions. Will there now be an offer of peace?
King Charles III: Reconciliatory gesture from the royal family
Prince Harry and Meghan’s home in Montecito was transformed into a meeting place for the stars for a day. Celebrities such as Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and their daughter Daisy were among the guests. Their prominent neighbors such as Ellen DeGeneres, Gwyneth Paltrow and Oprah Winfrey, who all live nearby, also celebrated. While the royal family was not among the invited guests, Charles made sure to give Lilibet a special message and a gift.

“King Charles had no intention of completely ignoring Lilibet’s birthday,” royal expert Tom Quinn told the Mirror. “So he sent a gift along with a message.” A gesture of peace, perhaps? Despite the exuberant mood at the party, a close friend from Harry’s army days revealed that the prince was saddened by the ongoing feud with his family.
“Harry knew they weren’t coming anyway and he didn’t want them there. But it makes him sad that Archie and Lilibet can’t have a relationship with their cousins,” the friend told the Mirror.
